The nurse was done waiting. 

"Already told you - no money, no bed." She yanked the needle out of my hand and snapped, "Get out. Now."

So there I was, thrown out on the street in my tiny dress. 

The cold bit through me, my whole body ached, but nothing hurt worse than my chest.

Nathan had picked Zoe over me, and he didn't care who knew it. 

I couldn't even grab a taxi - not with empty pockets. 

I tried Nathan's number one more time, but of course, nobody picked up.

“Two years. Two stupid years pretending to be the perfect Luna. 

“Always smiling, always saying yes, always being whatever Nathan wanted. 

“And for what? Here I am, broke and bleeding, while he's in bed with his lover. 

“What a joke I've been. What a stupid, pathetic joke.”

I said to myself.

I finally decided to call another number.

"Are you finally willing to call me? I thought you had forgotten me as your family."It was my eldest brother, the Alpha of the Blade Moon Pack. I never told Nathan that I was of Alpha bloodline, hoping he would love me for who I was. But I was wrong.

"Marc...\" My teeth chattered, "I want to go home."

I told Marc what happened that day. Marc was silent for a long time.

"I know I shouldn’t be—" I started to explain, knowing Marc would be angry about how I let things get so bad.

Buzz.

Suddenly, my phone vibrated, interrupting me. 

“You have received a transaction of $100,000 from Marc.”

“Did you get the transfer?" Marc asked.

“…Yeah.”

"I don't mean to blame you for being with that jerk. But sister, remember that you are our treasure no matter where you are, and the Blade Moon Pack will always support you."

“Thank you, Marc.”I said.”I need to go back to Dark Moon Pack to finish something off. Can you pick me up there?”

Marc continued, \"I'm on my way to Dark Moon Pack. I’ll be there before 3 a.m. to take you home.\"

Soon, a luxury Mercedes arrived in front of me.

“Miss, please get in the car.”

Back to the Dark Moon Pack.

The security guard at the door stopped my car. 

"Where'd you steal this ride from?" he barked, looking down at me like I was trash on his shoes. "That's all you're good for, isn't it? Bleeding our Alpha dry with your fancy cars and expensive taste." He spat on the ground near my feet. "Nothing but a gold-digging parasite."

Just another day of being "Luna" - these servants couldn't even pretend to respect the title anymore. 

Then I saw Nathan come downstairs with his arm around Zoe's shoulders. 

"You’re finally back, what took you so long? Now listen, Zoe will serve at the packhouse. She is your maid from now on."Nathan said to me.

“Whatever.” I don’t care anymore.

"Hi Luna Diana.”Zoe greeted me.

“Oh my god, Diana! Your pearl necklace is so beautiful! Can I take a look?" She reached out and was about to pull the necklace around my neck.

I stopped her.

"What's your problem?" Nathan grabbed my shoulder forcefully. "Just let her look at it. Stop being difficult." 

"It's the only thing my mother left to me! You know that!" My voice cracked, but Zoe was already yanking at it.

The string snapped. 

Pearls scattered across the floor, each tiny click like a bullet to my chest. For a moment, everything went silent.

Slap! I slapped Zoe’s face.

"DON'T TOUCH IT!" I dropped to my knees, desperately gathering the rolling pearls.

Everyone looked towards us.

"Why are you being so dramatic?" Zoe's voice trembled, perfect tears forming. "It's just jewelry! Nathan buys me prettier ones all the time. I'll give you a similar one-"

"It was my MOTHER'S!"

"Nathan... I-I didn't mean to..." Zoe hid behind Nathan, pressed her face into his back. "She's scaring me..." She bit her lip, her eyes were red, looking pitiful.

"Shh, it's okay." Nathan stroked her hair, shooting me a warning look. "Diana won't touch you. Not while I'm here."

"I already apologized, and I said I’ll make it up…" Zoe whispered.

I picked up the fallen beads and walked towards Zoe. Fine. If that's how she wanted to play it.

Nothing would make up for my mom's legacy, but Zoe can't get away with this.

"The necklace has South Sea pearls and antique setting." My voice was ice. "80 thousand. I'll send you the bill."

I will send you the bill later. 80 thousand would do."

Nathan's face darkened. "Stop being ridiculous. Why are you giving Zoe such a hard time? I'll pay-“

Pang! 

Suddenly, Nathan was knocked down with a bleeding nose. 

It’s my brother Marc! He appeared and punched Nathan in the face!

"Don't you dare talk to Diana like this! She is your damn Luna!"

"This, this is alpha Marc of Blade Moon Pack?" 

“Why did Alpha Marc come here suddenly?"

Everyone started gossiping.

"Alpha Marc, what a pleasure," Nathan kept his manner but said in a supressed tone. "But it's none of your business how I treat MY wife."

"I just saw how 'nicely' you treat your wife.So I suppose you have no problem with Diana leaving with me?” Marc gritted his teeth.

Then Marc turned to me and hugged me."Diana, I missed you."

I could say nothing but feel so heart-warmed.

He must have drove for all night to come here so quickly.

"You know Alpha Marc?" Nathan narrowed his eyes and looked at me with a dangerous look.

I didn't answer his question, but smiled brightly and hugged Marc.
